SHCOMP was up 0.45% to 3,199.15, SICOM increased 0.67% to 10,431.91, and CSI 300 Index increased 0.80% to 3,966.96. The most active stocks in SH-HK and SZ-HK were Kweichow Moutai [600519:CH] +0.99%, and Wuliangye Yibin [000858:CH] +2.00%.

Mexico-based Banking Group Interacciones Seeks Chinese Partners for Project Finance

Mexico-based banking group Interacciones [GFINTERO:MM] is seeking to collaborate with Chinese firms on financing deals for energy, infrastructure, and transport projects in Mexico, according to ecns.cn citing Carlos Rojo, General Director of Interacciones. The report said the bank has secured several financing deals for some infrastructure projects from an undisclosed Chinese bank. It also provided financing services to two water treatments plants via a collaboration "with one of the world's largest Chinese companies", which the bank refused to reveal.

Tesla's Shanghai EV Factory Project Remains Uncertainty

According to Bloomberg citing people with direct knowledge, after several months of negotiation, Tesla [TSLA:US] has not yet finalized the deal with Shanghai’s government to set up an EV factory in Shanghai due to a disagreement of the ownership structure between the two parties. The report said under the current rule, the plant must be established through a joint venture (JV) with a local partner, while Tesla wants full ownership of the factory. The two parties have not yet replied to the media request for the comments.

JD Logistic Receives USD2.5bn Investment from Tencent, Hillhouse, and Sequoia Capital

According to Bloomberg on 14 February, JD.com [JD:US] announced that its subsidiary JD Logistics has raised about USD2.5bn via a stake sale. Investors include Hillhouse capital, Sequoia China, China Merchants Group, Tencent [0700:HK], China Life Insurance [LFC:US], ICBC International, and many other organizations. After the stake sale, JD.com will still hold 81.4% shares in JD Logistics. The deal is expected to be completed at the end of the 1Q18.
