CSRC Weekly: Take Prudent Approach for Sci-Tech Board Investments
During its weekly meeting on May 17, a CSRC spokesperson stated that securities companies should adopt a prudent approach when investing in companies that will list on the Sci-Tech Board. As the new board has different listing and trading mechanisms, securities companies should also strengthen control on margin lending and short selling risks. In addition, following an investigation on Wangxin Securities’s asset freeze and plunge in core KPIs, CSRC stated that the company now has a stable operating and asset structure. In the future, the regulator will keep ramping up its supervision on violations.
